ROBERT DEAN'S RECOMMENDED READING

Some years ago, after repeated urging from friends and associates, I prepared a recommended reading list on the subject of UFO's and the extraterrestrial presence on planet Earth and in our solar system.

After almost 40 years of in-depth research on the subject, I find that I have probably read a thousand books on the subject and related matters. I have also concluded that hundreds of books on the subjects are basically worthless, sensationalist and not worthy of serious attention.

Please understand that this list is my own personal evaluation and should have no greater value other than it represents the conclusions of an individual who considers this issue to be the most important matter in the long history of the human race-- and of extremely serious consideration for our future survival.

I will be the first to agree that there are probably hundreds of books and papers on this matter that I have not perused, and I strongly recommend that researchers judge for themselves what to consider. The ultimate judgment is for each individual to make, as it is in all things.

I will preface the list with one major clarification. Please read anything that has been written by Whitley Strieber, John Mack and Timothy Good. Their works stand alone and are in my opinion, brilliant. Also read everything that has been written by Zechariah Sitchin. His life's work "The Earth Chronicles" will in time be the major insight into our present human condition and our future relationship with our off planet cousins.

The list is also not in any priority, but is a sequence of my own research. It should become apparent that new and good books are being written all the time on this most important subject. Among the recent and the best are:

It also becomes apparent to the thoughtful reader that my personal opinion on quality writing about this subject involves a deep and widespread awareness of the spiritual component of the UFO/ETI matter. Actually I feel that the major issue is indeed the spiritual growth and evolution of the human race, and that the UFO/ETI phenomena is a massive effort on the part of several advanced intelligent races to assist the human species in a crucial and long overdue transformation into a new awareness of who and what we are.
